Benefits of IX-OKC are managed through a mutual peering agreement conformed to by all parties. IXP members normally specify the routes through their peering relationships. They may choose to route the traffic through their own addresses or addresses of other providers in the network. In some scenarios, the IXP serves as a backup link to allow traffic to pass through in case of a direct link failure.

    IX-OKC is a FIXP (Free Internet Exchange Point). It provides a physical ethernet switched infrastructure to ISPs and Internet-related business companies to exchange IP traffic.

    IX-OKC has been created to help Internet development and traffic optimization in the Oklahoma City Metro Area. With no recurring charges, members can easily exchange traffic and optimize their network performances.     RACK59 Data Center customers with a valid Autonomous System Number (ASN) is welcome at IX-OKC.

    Whether you have 1U or a private data center space at RACK59, IX-OKC provides interconnections for all of our customers and carrier partners free of charge.

          IX-OKC is based on Juniper QFX switches using BIRD for our route servers

  • Does IX-OKC sell bandwidth/colocation?
    No, but our host data center RACK59 Data Center and their 20+ carrier partners can help you with those needs.

01 / SHARED VLAN PEERING

iX-OKC Peering service enables you to interconnect with a multitude of networks directly. You will exchange internet traffic using only one connection and cross-connect.

02 / PRIVATE VLAN PEERING

A Private Interconnect enables direct traffic exchange between two networks over a dedicated VLAN on our platform. You can connect directly with other networks whether you are located within the same data center or not. Connecting with our Private Interconnect Solution allows you to save costs as you will not have to pay for any additional cross-connects or metro connections.
